Fruit. Become a fruit bowl devotee. Take your fruit in the morning as a complement to breakfast. Creating your bowl takes some doing, yet once assembled you take your first bite…ah, ice water fountain on a hot summer day. Your cells light up. Clean and fresh. We all need to eat more fruit.

The benefits of fruit are many:

  • Good dose of electrolytes, enzymes, minerals and vitamins
  • Assist in weight management
  • Alkalizing for your body
  • Reduce risk of diabetes
  • Phytonutrient Rich
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Skin rejuvenating
  • Cancer fighting
  • Rich in Fiber
  • Hydrating

Johnny ~O~’s Sedona Sunrise:

  • Chopped apple (peeled; easier to digest this way and also avoid pesticides)
  • Sprinkling of organic granola & goji berries
  • Oranges (supreme preparation)
  • Organic greek yogurt
  • Chopped pineapple
  • Red grapes (halved)
  • Strawberries
  • Watermelon
  • Canteloupe
  • Honeydew
  • Banana

The above concoction scratches my jones. Ideally you want to incorporate a multitude of fresh fruits into your daily diet, and the combinations you can create are endless and fun to do. Get creative and go for it.
